1. Print out your weekly schedule (blank or assigned) each week. Even if you do not use it as a schedule, you can use is as a record of your activities for the day.
  2. Keep a record of your attendance. This may seem unnecessary, but may be important at some later date (record keeping is a skill too.)
  3. Decide what you will cover this homeschool day.
  4. Choose the course room materials and supplies that will support your choices.
  5. If you are following the complete curriculum guide, you will continue to work through the texts and materials until each is completed.
  6. If you are using a more flexible plan you will choose what to use each day.
  7. Keep records and report forms from each course. Choose two pages from each course each month and save them for building your portfolio. Instructions for portfolios are located on the Important Forms chart.
Friday is reserved for the student to pursue his or her own interest, CYOI forms are available from the Important Forms table on the Start Page.

Links to your subject area courses are available on the left side of your page.

In General Students in:

  • Preschool-1st Grades will need a great deal of parental guidance to stay on task and to plan the homeschool day.

  • 2nd—5th Grades may need less supervision than younger students, but need to check in frequently with parents to reassure themselves that they are doing “it” right and to ask questions about course work.
