Public officials, educators, parents, concerned community members and children all need to work together to ensure that the use of the Internet by children and students is safe, educational and entertaining. TECH CORPS® is pleased to contribute to this effort by offering a special new resource section on Internet Safety.
This new resource area includes a “primer” for parents and educators on key safety issues and strategies, as well as safety tips and rules for Internet users of all ages. To help more children learn about Internet safety, the site also includes free, downloadable Internet Safety Screen Savers with key safety rules for pre-school, elementary and middle school students. The site invites parents, teachers and educators to learn more about the pros and cons of content filtering strategies, and provides links to top-rated filtering products.
Selected national organizations dedicated to protecting children online, and to educating parents, educators, and other concerned adults about how they can help keep children safe. If you, your child or your student encounter inappropriate online material or behavior, contact these organizations for information and assistance.
