12. DESIGN
Materials: Tempera
White card stock Spin-O-Art machine

Process: Using the commercial machine, vary the technique of applying the paint — i.e. pour paint while machine is in motion or pour paint then start machine, or hold pencil (blunt end) on card as it spins.

13. DESIGN
Materials: Felt tip pens Pencil Paper

Process: Fold 9"x12" paper to make 16 squares — Draw a familiar object as many ways as possible.

14. DESIGN
Materials: Pencil Scissors Cardboard

Process: Cut or tear simple design from cardboard — Scrape pencil lead with scissors blade — Rub pencil shavings along edge of design — Move shape and repeat.

15. DESIGN

Materials: Cork discs Scissors Ballpoint pen

Process: Draw design with ink — Cut to make puzzle.

16. DESIGN

Materials: Cork discs Glue
Oil pastels

Process: Cut design from cork and glue to cork base — Fill with color.

Process: Draw a character from finger print.

Materials: Yarn
Tempera
Cardboard Glue

Process: Outline design with yarn — Fill design with tempera.

19. DESIGN
Materials: Black printing pad Paper

Process: Place thumb print in lower left corner of the paper — Enlarge the thumb print by drawing from the original.

20. DESIGN
Materials: Oil pastels Paper

Process: Draw picture — Split in half using cool colors (Blues, Greens, Purples) on one side and warm colors (Reds, Yellows, Oranges) on the other.

21. DESIGN
Materials: Two sheets of newsprint String
Crayon

Process: Place string on one sheet of paper in design wanted — Place other sheet on top and color over the top sheet.
